Geothermal Guided Tour

Renewable power sources account for over 70% of the total primary energy consumption in Iceland. At Hellisheiði power plant, we will see how geothermal energy is generated and learn about the exciting geology of Iceland.

A bus will take you to Hellisheiði, approximately 30 minutes’ drive. The bus ride will be very informative with science tips from one of the most famous science communicator in Iceland.

Note that there are only 55 seats in this tour, and booking is on first come first, served basis.

Tour guide: Sævar Helgi Bragason, Geologist, Astronomy communicator and public figure.
