Jón Örn Guðbjartsson

Living with the Stars – Super Science Media in Multivision

Sævar Helgi and Jón Örn will tell you how to draw the attention of a whole nation towards a simple scientific event. They will show how to make science popular as fashion and how scientists can transform from guys and girls in white coats to being superstars.

These experienced TV-hosts will give ideas on all kinds of science media tricks that are working madly cool.  They will cast the light on some super successive projects that include popular TV-series for kids and grownups, highly rated radio-shows, riveting video-campaigns on socials media, a terrifying bomb squad and marvellous use of high class images.  They will also show how to jump on a high speed science train and discuss how music from Björk’s Biophilia can introduce science in new dimensions.

If you want to know how a pizza can change science media forever, or experience how it is possible to give all kids in Iceland eclipse glasses (or almost all), or if you want to get into an exploding crater or just be lazy and travel to the end of the universe – then you simply don’t want to miss this session.

These guys from Iceland are weirdly creative, so you can’t take them too seriously… or can you?

At least, you don’t want to hear about their package from others.
